A thickening-classifying cyclone cluster refers to a group of cyclones with a common feeding mechanism and a shared product collecting system.

• A pressure gauge is employed on the feed tank of each cyclone cluster to monitor the feed pressure.

• Both overflow and underflow collecting chutes are lined with wear-resistant ceramics to prolong their service life.

• Feed rate of each hydrocyclone can be individually adjusted through a knife gate valve attached to each cyclone.

Based on varied flow rates of different materials in water, hydraulic classifying cyclones are mainly used in coal preparation processes to classify coal slurry and coal particles which haven’t been flotated. Thickening cyclone clusters are formed by combining several classifying cyclones which share the same feeding and discharging openings. The cyclone clusters are widely applied to thicken and separate minerals and coal slurry by combinations of two or several cyclones.
